Crystal and gasket replacement

RM 620

Crystal & Gasket Replacement

Replacement of scratched or cracked crystals for mineral, acrylic, and sapphire variants. Includes correct reference identification, bezel seat cleaning, gasket replacement at crown, pushers, and case back, plus water resistance testing where design permits.

How do I submit a watch for assessment?
You can reach us by phone at +60 3-7954 2186 or through the contact form below to arrange an intake appointment. We request that pieces are brought in personally to our workshop at 18 Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya. Walk-in enquiries are welcome during business hours, though an appointment ensures you will not have to wait.
What happens after the diagnostic assessment?
You receive a written report outlining our findings, including photographs taken during the inspection. The report will note the observed condition and, where applicable, specific recommendations for next steps. No repair work is initiated until you have reviewed this report and provided written agreement to proceed.
How long does a typical service take?
Turnaround varies by service type. A quartz module and battery service is generally completed within two to four working days. Crystal and gasket replacement depends on part availability, typically three to seven working days. Chronograph assessments take three to five working days for the diagnostic phase, after which repair timing is confirmed separately.
Are the listed prices fixed or estimates?
The prices shown represent the service fee for the defined scope. For the chronograph assessment, the RM 780 covers the diagnostic process and written report. Any additional repair work beyond the assessment is priced separately and requires your agreement. For quartz module service and crystal replacement, additional charges may apply if unforeseen complications are identified — this will always be communicated in writing before work proceeds.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We handle a wide range of mechanical and quartz timepieces across various makers. Some highly complex calibres or pieces requiring proprietary manufacturer tooling may fall outside our current capability — we will advise you honestly at the point of intake rather than accepting a piece we cannot serve properly.
Is water resistance testing included in the crystal replacement?
Water resistance testing follows crystal and gasket replacement where the case design permits. The owner is always advised of any specific limitations inherent to the piece — certain vintage or non-sealed case designs cannot be pressure-tested in the conventional manner, and we will note this clearly in the service summary.
